Taylor Johnson, a 16-year-old nerd from Detroit, lives for Dragon Ball Z, kung fu movies, and Asian culture. But in his neighborhood, loving that stuff makes him a target. A local gang called The Iron Fangs bully him constantly—sometimes it’s a beatdown, sometimes it’s humiliation, and sometimes he gets jumped just for walking home.

Taylor isn’t weak—he’s scared. His father was killed in a street fight years ago, and Taylor swore he’d never throw a punch again.

Everything changes when a Thai exchange student, Phan Rattanasuk, notices Taylor eating lunch alone after another beating. Phan recognizes the dragon-shaped birthmark on Taylor’s arm—a symbol from an ancient Thai-African myth connected to the Chibados, a powerful tribe whose warriors could merge with “Spirit Dragons.”

Phan secretly takes Taylor to Master Suriya, a monk who trains chosen warriors destined to protect the balance between humanity and the spirit world.

Master Suriya reveals that Taylor is the last descendant of the Purple Dragon Clan, wiped out 1,000 years ago by a dark spell that put them into a cursed sleep. Taylor’s sudden awakening means something dangerous is rising again.

To unlock his birthright, Taylor must train with the Dragons of the East, elite spirit warriors based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
